ADVENTURE TIME & CRAYOLA

It’s always fun mixing animation and live action!  I co-directed this with the amazing, Adam Fuchs, who over saw the animation.
Shooting inside of Cartoon Network Studios and working along side the talented peeps from Adventure Time was a blast.  They were all so nice and accomodating.  Crayola loved the creative spin on their new product!

Holly Simpson managed the building and production of the site, while I came up with the over all concept, wrote the script and worked with YU&CO in LA, who made it look awesome!

2010 GOLD PROMAX WINNER!  Trying to come up with a way to tell kids about the nutritional block and nutrients is challenging, but with the help of auto tune and the some great characters, I was able to write something that the Food & Drug Administration approved.

Chowder learns from his good buddy Gazpacho what his mother says about food portion control in a little song and dance!  This was fun to write and work with the animators on the character’s wardrobe and choreography.

We won a 2011 Bronze Promax award for best art direction!

Fruity Pebbles

I came up with the concept for this spot after the client mentioned something about wanting a paper craft activity.  So I wrote the script and worked with a 3D animation company to give it the look of stop-motion animation but animate in 3D due to time and money.  We ended up having the 3D company create the actual paper craft activity too.

McDonalds Happy Meals and Cartoon Network Creators

The goal was to integrate two Cartoon Network properties with their creators and tie it all into the prize inside the McDonald’s Happy Meals.

Johnson & Johnson Water Safety w/ PPG

Johnson & Johnson needed a PSA that used the Power Puff Girls talking about water safety in a fun way!  So I came up with the concept, wrote it up and had it animated.
